Guinée_Mines: AM development Guinea SA carries out an identification visit to bauxite sites in Mamou

After obtaining its approval, AM development Guinea SA carried out this Saturday March 30, 2024, a visit to identify the bauxite sites in the targeted areas in Mamou.

At the microphone of our reporter, Mohamed Saïdou Touré, representative of the company in Guinea, returned to the objective of the mission he led.

The mission consisted of the identification of bauxite sites in the target areas of the different bauxite zones. We started with Mamou. This field visit was to know the distance between the site and the port of Benty content and the reserve ,” he indicated.

Big ambitions 

It’s a huge project. As we said previously, we are going to make a railway from Mamou to Benty (Forecariah) over a distance of 326 kilometers where an ore port will be built to allow the evacuation of the ore. We also plan to build a bauxite refinery in the sub-prefecture of Benty, a micro hydroelectric dam. This project will be a trigger for the economic take-off of the Republic of Guinea.”

Thousands of jobs in prospect 

There will be tens of thousands of jobs for Guineans, especially young people. AM is committed to financing $50 billion for all projects. We will also finance other projects initiated by the State. Our policy is infrastructure against bauxite and gold. We hope that the government will understand our policy for the economic takeoff of the country .”

The representative of the company AM development Guinea SA promises a win-win partnership with the Guinean government.

It is with this in mind that we carried out a field visit this Saturday to Mamou to identify the sites, know the content of this bauxite but also the reserve. We are waiting for authorization to start prospecting. We are ready to finance the PDU (urban travel plan) of the city of Conakry. We will modernize the capital up to Coyah, Dubreka and Forécariah. This plan will allow Guinea to modernize its capital and facilitate traffic. We are prepared to finance this project 100%. What we are asking the government is to facilitate the process so that the employability of youth is a reality ,” explained Mr Mohamed Saïdou Touré.
